In the process of research, it was found that the research and coverage of the issue of statehood of the Ukrainian people of the last century are quite relevant against the background of events that have occurred since 2014, namely: the annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the military invasion of Eastern Ukraine, as well as the full-scale military invasion on February 24, 2022 of the modern sovereign and independent, democratic, social, legal state of Ukraine, which are examples of Russian expansionist ambitions and imperialist policy. As a result, today the Ukrainian people stand up for democratic values, the European path of development, territorial integrity and state sovereignty of Ukraine. One of the stages of statehood of the Ukrainian people is the formation of the Ukrainian Far Eastern Republic. The method of the work is to clarify previously known, but insufficiently researched, identify new facts, deepen the study of knowledge about the Green Wedge, and analyze the real state of the subject of research. The methodology includes an analysis of the theoretical and source base with subsequent generalization and formulation of relevant conclusions and recommendations. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the problem, the work uses a complex of general scientific, special legal, special historical and philosophical methods and approaches, as well as the principles of objectivity, historicism, systematicity and comprehensiveness. The results of the study determined that the February Revolution of 1917 gave a powerful impetus to the development of the Ukrainian national movement, since the fall of numerous national prohibitions and restrictions that existed under tsarism stimulated the processes of national self-organization. Along with Ukrainian national organizations (Communities, Enlightenment, Clubs), which had the character of nationwide bodies or institutions and worked on the basis of the national revival of the Ukrainian population in all spheres of its life in the Far East, during this period Ukrainian organizations also appeared that were narrower in their composition, tasks and nature of activity - political, professional, cultural and educational, cooperative, youth. At the same time, practically all Ukrainian organizations that existed in the Far East were liquidated in November 1922 after the establishment of Soviet power there, and their leaders and activists were arrested and their property confiscated. The conclusions of the study can be used by central, regional and local government bodies in the formation of diaspora policy when addressing cultural, linguistic, legal and educational needs, as well as in the development of programs for the historical development of the Ukrainian people in the Ukrainian diaspora and on the territory of modern Ukraine.
