Abstract

In the process of research, it was found that the research and coverage of the issue of statehood of the Ukrainian people of the last century are quite relevant against the background of events that have occurred since 2014, namely: the annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the military invasion of Eastern Ukraine, as well as the full-scale military invasion on February 24, 2022 of the modern sovereign and independent, democratic, social, legal state of Ukraine, which are examples of Russian expansionist ambitions and imperialist policy. As a result, today the Ukrainian people stand up for democratic values, the European path of development, territorial integrity and state sovereignty of Ukraine. One of the stages of statehood of the Ukrainian people is the formation of the Ukrainian Far Eastern Republic. The method of the work is to clarify previously known, but insufficiently researched, identify new facts, deepen the study of knowledge about the Green Wedge, and analyze the real state of the subject of research. The methodology includes an analysis of the theoretical and source base with subsequent generalization and formulation of relevant conclusions and recommendations. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the problem, the work uses a complex of general scientific, special legal, special historical and philosophical methods and approaches, as well as the principles of objectivity, historicism, systematicity and comprehensiveness. The results of the research, it was determined that Ukrainian cooperative organizations became the most important source of financing the activities of Ukrainian organizations in the period 1917-1922. Along with this, one of the main tasks of Ukrainian cooperative organizations in the conditions of a deep economic crisis caused by the civil war was to alleviate the difficult financial situation of the Ukrainian population of the Far East, primarily by fighting speculation caused by high prices and shortages of basic necessities. At the same time, the leaders of the Ukrainian movement considered national cooperation as the only solid basis for the development of national culture and education in the Far East. Objectively, the activities of Ukrainian cooperation contributed to the formation of national self-awareness, national enlightenment, and contributed to the development of Ukrainian social life. Thus, Ukrainian cultural and political life in the Far East, as well as in Ukraine, as well as in the countries of Ukrainian settlement in North and South America, was closely connected with the development of the cooperative movement. The conclusions of the study can be used by central, regional and local government bodies in the formation of diaspora policy when addressing cultural, linguistic, legal and educational needs, as well as in the development of programs for the historical development of the Ukrainian people in the Ukrainian diaspora and on the territory of modern Ukraine.
