The issue of international legal cooperation in the field of intellectual property rights protection is gaining increasing significance in the context of globalization, rapid technological advancement, and the expansion of the digital space. The cross-border nature of intellectual property objects and the growing number of transnational infringements make it impossible to ensure effective protection through national legal systems alone, without coordinated interaction with other countries and international institutions. Despite the existence of numerous international treaties and organizations, such as the World Intellectual Property Organization and the World Trade Organization, there remain significant challenges regarding the harmonization of legal standards, the effectiveness of enforcement procedures, and the adaptation of international legal frameworks to new technological realities. The aim of this article is to explore international legal cooperation in the field of intellectual property rights protection in light of current global challenges, digitalization, and the implementation of emerging technologies. Methods: analysis of scientific literature – to review existing academic contributions on the topic; generalization and systematization – to concisely present the processed material; abstraction – to identify key international organizations and agreements. Results. The study analyzes the main international legal instruments and institutional mechanisms involved in intellectual property protection, identifies key issues in their practical implementation in the digital environment, and examines the influence of global technological trends on the transformation of legal approaches to enforcement. The research also highlights the need for more effective coordination among national legal systems and the importance of mutual recognition of legal decisions and procedures between states. The findings indicate that strengthening international cooperation requires not only the modernization of existing treaties but also the development of flexible legal tools capable of promptly responding to technological changes and new forms of infringements. Conclusions. The study emphasizes that international legal cooperation should aim to enhance transparency, legal certainty, and mutual trust among participants in the global intellectual property system. It is necessary to strengthen the institutional capacity of countries, improve information exchange and best practices, and promote joint initiatives aimed at preventing and combating infringements in both physical and digital environments.
