Abstract

Political transformations in Ukraine are a complex and multifaceted process that has deep historical roots and a significant impact on the country's modern development. From the period of Soviet power to modern political reforms, historical events and social movements played a key role in the formation of the Ukrainian political system and democratic institutions.

The purpose of the article is to analyze political transformations in Ukraine taking into account historical contexts and modern perspectives. The research is aimed at identifying key historical events that influenced the political development of the country, as well as at evaluating modern political reforms and their impact on the stability and development of the Ukrainian state.

To achieve the goal of the research, a comprehensive approach was used, including historical analysis, content analysis of political documents, comparative analysis of political reforms, and sociological surveys. Major historical events such as the Orange Revolution, Euromaidan and the Revolution of Dignity are studied, as well as contemporary political reforms such as decentralization and anti-corruption measures.

The study showed that historical contexts, in particular the Soviet legacy and political crises, significantly influenced the formation of the current political situation in Ukraine. The Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity became defining stages that contributed to the development of civil society and the reform of political institutions. Current reforms, including decentralization and anti-corruption measures, have proven important in strengthening democratic institutions, but face challenges such as corruption and ineffective governance.

Political transformations in Ukraine are the result of a complex combination of historical events and modern reforms. Historical contexts, such as the legacy of the Soviet system and political crises, significantly influenced the development of the political situation in the country. Current reforms, although contributing to the strengthening of democratic institutions, require further improvement to ensure their effectiveness and sustainability. It is recommended to focus on strengthening anti-corruption measures, increasing the transparency of public administration and the development of civil society as key factors for the further stabilization and development of the political situation in Ukraine.
