Advocacy key to implementing gender policy at the levels of state and public institutions

Abstract

The purpose of scientific research is to highlight the role of advocacy in implementing the principles of gender equality at the community level. One of the key factors in the implementation of gender policy is the actualization of these aspects in public opinion with their further correlation with legal norms and individual aspirations. The practical application of gender equality guidelines in the legal field involves a synergy of public demand and professional assistance from the legal community. The research methodology is based on general scientific principles and involves the analysis, systematization, comparison and modeling of the legal arsenal on the issue of gender equality. An important methodological approach used to achieve the objectives of the article was the synergistic principle, which reconciles the positions of the individual, social and legal dimensions. The results of the study indicate the importance of civic activism in the implementation of gender policy. The advocacy community emphasizes the need to actualize the issue of gender at the community level, which will allow to refute stereotypes, which are still a significant obstacle to understanding equality in society. It is noted that during public discussions, mechanisms are being established to overcome gray areas in determining the conceptual dimensions of gender policy. Therefore, public involvement in the process of implementing gender policy is important for shaping public opinion on the principles of equality and justice. The advocacy case in the process of public discussions of gender issues focuses on clarifying the rights of men and women in various legal clusters: criminal, administrative, civil. Understanding gender aspects during public hearings is preventive in nature and prevents misunderstandings between the parties during practical legal proceedings.
