In the context of armed conflict, the social dynamics of Ukrainian society undergo significant transformations, which directly affect the level of its moral and political cohesion. The relevance of this study is determined by the fact that the stability of state institutions and citizens’ ability to engage in collective action under crisis conditions depend on the integration of moral, social, and political factors into behavioral practices.
The aim of the study is to systematically identify the structural elements of moral and political cohesion in Ukrainian society during wartime, to analyze the interconnections between value orientations, political trust, and civic engagement, and to assess regional and demographic differences in the level of consolidation.
The research methods include sociological surveys, expert assessments, and comparative analysis of historical cases of social consolidation under crisis conditions, which allow a comprehensive evaluation of the interaction between social, moral, and political factors. Quantitative and qualitative approaches made it possible to distinguish the key components of moral and political cohesion: citizens’ value and ethical orientations, the level of trust in state institutions, the degree of social solidarity, and readiness for collective action in emergency situations.
The results demonstrate a high potential for social consolidation, manifested through active participation in volunteer initiatives, support for public and state structures, and collective mobilization of the population. At the same time, differentiation in the level of cohesion among various social and demographic groups was identified, highlighting the need for regionally targeted support programs.
The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of integrating moral and political aspects to form stable models of societal unity and collective mobilization during wartime. The practical significance of the findings lies in their applicability for developing effective state and community strategies to strengthen social solidarity and enhance citizens’ engagement in crisis conditions.
