The article examines the features of state-building processes in Ukraine after the Revolution of Dignity and their impact on the formation of national identity through the prism of law. An analysis of socio-political transformations that took place after 2013-2014 is conducted. Their significance for the formation of the modern Ukrainian nation is considered. It is substantiated that the Revolution of Dignity became an important stage in the development of Ukrainian statehood, which contributed to the rethinking of the role of the state, the activation of civil society and the establishment of democratic values in public life.
Specific attention is paid to the legal dimension of state-building processes, in particular, the reform of the public administration system, the judiciary, law enforcement agencies, as well as the development of mechanisms for public control over the activities of state institutions. The study determined that law itself is an important instrument for institutionalizing new social values, such as the rule of law, respect for human rights and freedoms, democratic governance, and the responsibility of government to citizens.
The article examines the role of civil society, the volunteer movement, and voluntary groups in strengthening national unity and establishing new models of interaction between the state and citizens. It is noted that the revolutionary events contributed to the transformation of the national and cultural values of Ukrainians, strengthening civic identity, and developing a culture of solidarity and self-organization. The methodological basis of the study is made up of general scientific and special legal methods, in particular systemic, historical-legal, comparative-legal and formal-legal. The use of these methods made it possible to comprehensively analyze the state-building processes in Ukraine after the Revolution of Dignity and determine their impact on the formation of national identity in the legal dimension.
The main attention is focused on the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the further development of state-building processes, in particular on the consolidation of society, strengthening national identity, and strengthening the role of legal mechanisms in ensuring national security. The conclusions emphasize that the state-building processes after the Revolution of Dignity will influence the formation of a new model of Ukrainian statehood, based on the principles of democracy, the rule of law, and the active participation of citizens in the socio-political life of Ukraine.
